Care Questions

Yes, at Bluebell View Care Home, we offer respite care for people who need short-term support following an illness, injury or operation, as well as for those whose regular carers need a break. Before admission, we assess each person’s care needs to determine the appropriate support.

Residential care provides accommodation and support for people who need help with daily activities, personal care or mobility. Nursing care offers the same ongoing support, with the added benefit of care from qualified nurses who can help manage residents’ medical needs around the clock.

We provide residential, nursing, respite and dementia care, tailored to each resident’s individual needs. At Bluebell View Care Home, we work closely with residents and their families and develop personalised care plans to ensure everyone receives the right support.

Residents are welcome to bring personal belongings and small items of furniture to help make their room feel familiar and homely. All items must be suitable for the space, comply with fire safety requirements before being brought into the home. This helps us create a comfortable, personal space while keeping everyone safe.

Finance Questions

There are several ways to fund care at Bluebell View Care Home, depending on an individual’s care needs, financial circumstances and eligibility for support.

If someone meets their local authority’s eligibility criteria, they may receive financial assistance towards their care fees. The level of support provided will depend on their financial assessment and individual circumstances.

Those with sufficient income, savings or assets may be required to fund their care privately. Alternatively, family members may choose to contribute towards the cost. In some circumstances, care fees may be covered through a combination of private payments and local authority funding.

As funding arrangements can vary, we recommend contacting the relevant local authority or NHS team to discuss eligibility and the options available.

If your care home fees cost more than what your local council is willing to pay, someone else can make up the difference between that figure and the home’s fee, such as a family member.

Fees will be reviewed annually, and any changes will be advised at least 4 weeks in advance of any change taking effect. The current fee uplift is effective in April each year. For further information please contact us.

In the event of a resident’s passing, we will guide families through the arrangements with care and understanding. Accommodation fees will continue for up to three days following the resident’s death, or until the room has been cleared and cleaned. Any further charges will be handled in accordance with the terms of the Care Agreement.
